이제 죄는 더 이상 우리의 주인이 아닙니다
그리스도를 따르는 자임에도, 죄로 인해 망가지고 또 죄를 쉽게 범하는 우리의 현실 때문에 우리는
죄에게 잘못된 권위를 인정하기 쉽습니다. 그 결과 예수님과의 관계에서 오는 기쁨을 메마르게 만듭니다.
그러나 예수님의 죽음과 부활로 인해 그 위협은 소용이 없게 되었습니다. 죄는 더 이상 우리를 지배할 수 없습니다. 그래서 바울사도는 다음과 같이 썼습니다. “죄가 너희를 주장하지 못하리니 이는 너희가 법
아래에 있지 아니하고 은혜 아래에 있음이라”(롬6:14). 우리가 망가진 것은 너무나 분명한 사실이지만,
주님의 은혜는 우리로 하여금 하나님이 기뻐하시는 삶을 살아 우리를 변화시키는 그분의 능력을 세상에 보여주게 하십니다. 이제 죄는 더 이상 우리의 주인이 아닙니다. 이제 우리는 예수님의 임재와 은혜 가운데 살고 있습니다. 주님이 우리 마음의 왕좌에 앉아 우리의 삶을 다스리실 때 우리는 죄의 속박으로부터 벗어나게 됩니다.
Although we are followers of Christ, our reality of being broken by sin and prone to sin makes it easy for us to admit wrong authority to sin. As a result, the joy drains from our relationship with the Savior. But, through the death and resurrection of Christ, that threat is an empty one. Sin has no authority over us. That is why Paul wrote, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace"(Rom.6:14). While our brokenness is very real, Christ's grace enables us to live in a way that pleases God and expresses His transforming power to the world. Sin is no longer our boss. We now live in the grace and presence of Jesus. When the Lord sits on the throne of our hearts and rules our lives, we are freed from the bondage of sin.

예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “이것을 너희에게 이르는 것은 너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라”(요16:33).
예수님은 우리가 겪게 될지도 모를 고충이나 슬픔을 무시하지 않으시면서, 역으로 제자들에게 평화와 기쁨, 그리고 궁극적인 승리에 대한 약속을 주십니다. 예수님 안에서 우리의 소망과 평화를 찾을 수 있습니다

The broken world we live in can be a 'factory of sadness' too. There seems to be an endless supply of heartache and disappointment, whether from our own choices or things beyond our control. Yet the follower of Christ has hope - not only in the life to come but for this very day. Jesus said, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world"(John 16:33). Without minimizing the struggles or sadness we may experience, Christ counters them with His promises of peace, joy, and ultimate victory. Our hope and peace are found in Jesus.
